With plans to scale up to 1GW of capacity across several countries, including Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Türkiye, this collaboration positions Khazna as a major enabler of the region's AI ambitions.
Khazna Data Centres (Khazna), a global leader in hyperscale digital infrastructure, has announced a major collaboration with Nvidia to develop advanced AI factories across the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region. The partnership reflects the growing demand for robust AI infrastructure and positions the UAE—and the wider region—as a rising global hub for AI innovation.
The announcement comes in the wake of US President Donald Trump’s high-profile visit to the UAE and the unveiling of a planned 5-gigawatt UAE-US AI campus. The collaboration between Khazna and NVIDIA marks another step in strengthening regional ties with US tech leaders and underscores the shared ambition to shape the future of artificial intelligence and digital transformation.
As part of this alliance, Nvidia has certified the architectural design of Khazna’s next-generation data centres to support its cutting-edge Blackwell platform. All of Khazna’s current and upcoming infrastructure projects will now incorporate Nvidia-ready blueprints by default, ensuring full compatibility with the latest GPU-accelerated computing demands.
Khazna plans to design the majority of its future data halls with capacities reaching up to 50 megawatts and will develop individual AI clusters as large as 250 megawatts. Many of these high-capacity facilities will be part of the anticipated UAE-US AI campus, placing the UAE at the forefront of global AI infrastructure development.
In addition to its ambitions within the UAE, Khazna is rapidly expanding its footprint across key markets in the Middle East, Africa and Europe. The company aims to scale up to 1 gigawatt of total capacity, with ongoing developments in countries including France, Italy, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Türkiye and Kenya.
Commenting on the partnership, Hassan Alnaqbi, CEO of Khazna Data Centers, said: “The world is entering a new era of AI-driven innovation, and the UAE is uniquely positioned to lead. Our work with Nvidia represents a bold step forward in delivering high-performance, future-ready infrastructure at unprecedented scale. It reinforces our support for the UAE’s ambitions to become a global AI leader.”
