This acquisition with Infty Art aligns with MBC Group's vision to cultivate friendship, introduce social values, and provide entertainment that transcends borders.
MBC Group has secured exclusive TV and SVOD rights in Arabic for the animated series The Fixies from Infty Art. The show is scheduled to make its debut on MBC3, the children’s free-to-air TV channel, in December, according to a report by World Screen.
Alongside traditional television broadcasting, audiences can access the content on MBC Group’s streaming platform Shahid starting November 29.
The Fixies, an edutainment brand tailored for kids aged four to eight, encompasses five seasons of the series, two feature films, a comprehensive licensing and publishing programme, and live stage shows. The narrative revolves around the adventures of Tom Thomas and his camaraderie with Simka, Nolik, and their Fixies classmates. The diminutive Fixie family clandestinely resides in Tom’s apartment, skillfully repairing a multitude of machines and gadgets in their surroundings. Each episode is dedicated to exploring a specific gadget, equipment, or phenomenon.
Ashraf Younis, Director of MBC3, expressed delight at introducing a localised version of The Fixies to their platforms, enhancing the Arabic content offerings for young and family-focused audiences. The acquisition aligns with MBC Group’s vision to foster friendship, instill social values, and deliver entertaining content that transcends borders. Younis looks forward to sharing the charm of “The Fixies” with an even broader audience.
Ilya Popov, Infty Art’s CEO, added: “We’re delighted that audiences in the Middle East and North Africa will have a chance to watch new seasons of The Fixies at the end of this year. The deal is also strategically important for the brand’s further development in the territory.”
