Moroccos state-backed broadcaster Société Nationale de Radiodiffusion et de Télévision (SNRT) has chosen Net Insight for expanding its existing Digital Terrestrial TV network.
Net Insight won this order in partnership with Ericsson Morocco, which will be the prime integrator of the project delivering project management, support and installation services.
SNRT, the national public broadcaster in Morocco, will use Net Insight’s Nimbra platform for expanding its existing DTT-network. The purpose of the network expansion is to enhance the availability of the network as well as protect their services and investment already made.
This project is the latest phase of the digital network build-out for SNRT. The Net Insight Nimbra platform will offer the best availability and control functionalities to the existing and expanded network. Redundancy will be provided on both a DVB-ASI service level as well as SDH-STM-1 trunk level. The Net Insight network management system Nimbra Vision will be used to monitor and control the quality and availability of the network services.
“Globally, Net Insight has a strong leadership in Digital Terrestrial TV networks. With SNRT as our latest customer, we now enter a new market, in the North African region,” stated Fredrik Trägårdh, CEO of Net Insight.
“Once again, a customer has decided, that Net Insight’s technology is very competitive in combination with our partnership with Ericsson”.
