The Scientific Morocco Association has partnered with the US Embassy in Rabat to host the fifth annual Race2Space (?Race to Space?) competition. The competition is open to Moroccan students aged between 15 to 18 with an interest in science and mathematics. Applications will be accepted from December 16, 2018 to January 19, 2019.
Jury review and pre-selection will take place between January 20 and February 24. Online voting and peer reviews will take place from February 25 until March 17 and the winners will be announced on March 20.
The 12 winners will receive full scholarships, paid for by the US State Department, to NASA?s Space Camp in Huntsville, Alabama in July of 2019. The trip includes a visit to other scientific, cultural, and educational sites.
The Scientific Morocco Association aims to make scientific knowledge more accessible to Moroccans. With various initiatives, the association strives to create opportunities for Moroccans to engage in STEM.
