The launch marks the first service of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa, enabling OSNtv to deliver its pay-TV service to Samsung Connected TVs without a set-top box.
Nagravision, a Kudelski Group company and a global provider of content protection and media technology solutions, has announced the launch of a new direct-to-TV service by OSN across the Middle East and North Africa, powered by TVkey Cloud in collaboration with Samsung.
The rollout reportedly marks the first deployment of its kind in the region, enabling consumers in more than 20 countries to access OSN’s pay-TV service directly on Samsung connected televisions without the need for a set-top box. The smart TV user experience for OSN has been developed by Sofia Digital using the HbbTV operator application standard, ensuring a seamless and intuitive viewing environment.

The OSNtv service powered by TVkey Cloud is compatible with all Samsung Ultra HD connected TV models produced from 2021 onwards. Developed jointly by Nagravision and Samsung, TVkey Cloud integrates security directly into the TV chipset, helping protect long-term content investments. The solution also complies with MovieLabs’ Enhanced Content Protection standards for 4K Ultra HD, HDR and early-release content. Designed with an immersive interface, the service positions OSNtv as a primary live TV destination rather than a standalone app, reinforcing its role at the center of the viewing experience.
