Project Runway Middle East (ME) is ready to arrive on MBC 4 and MBC MASR 2 this month. The debut season of the reality TV programme will see 15 contestants battle it out over 13 weeks, all with the goal of impressing a judging panel of industry luminaries with their designs, and reaching the grand finale.
Every assignment will take place under the watchful eyes of world-renowned celebrity designer Elie Saab appearing on the show as head judge along with Tunisian fashion icon, actress and television presenter Afef Jnifen. A surprise judge either a celebrity guest or fashion expert will join the duo every episode.
Rounding up the Project Runway ME line-up, Saudi Arabian creative expert Faris Al Shehri will mentor the participants every week, while Lebanese-Australian model and former Australia Jessica Kahawaty will present the programme.
A special launch event held by the House of Elie Saab and MBC Group to celebrate the debut of Project Runway ME, took place at Dubai Design District (d3), which is serving as a premier sponsor of the programme. In attendance were regional and international media, along with special guests specially flown in for the event. The show is the Arabic adaptation of Project Runway the hit international reality programme and competition dedicated to all things fashion, with the US-version presented by Heidi Klum.
