As Ramadan 2026 approaches, Roya TV has announced a wide-ranging programming slate for the holy month, featuring a blend of entertainment, comedy and culinary shows aimed at Jordanian and Arab family audiences and aligned with the spirit of Ramadan.
Central to the lineup is Roya TV’s popular “Comedy Hour,” which continues to be a key attraction for viewers seeking daily light-hearted entertainment. Leading the comedy offerings is Watan A’ Watar, the channel’s flagship series known for tackling social and political themes through humour and relatable storytelling, starring Imad Farajin, Mohammad Altaiti and Samaher Salameh. Also returning is Ya Ana Ya He, one of Roya TV’s original Syrian productions, presented as a comedic drama inspired by everyday life and featuring a well-known Arab cast including Amal Arafa, Amal Al-Dabbas, Nadine Tahseen Beik, Mohammad Hadaki and Assem Hawat.
The comedy slate further includes Qabban Mousa, a social comedy set in a quiet village that examines the balance between tradition and modernity, with performances by Mohammad Al-Ajarmeh, Noha Samara, Rabee Zaitoun and Sara Abu Zahra. Another highlight is Shaker, which follows a former boxing champion who wakes from a six-year coma to a dramatically changed world shaped by the post-COVID era and social media, delivering humorous and heartfelt moments through a cast that includes Youssef Ja’roun, Maria Alian, Lana Mushtaq and Nadim Rimawi.
Alongside its entertainment offerings, Roya TV is placing strong emphasis on food programming during Ramadan. New addition Men Shubbak Ola sees Chef Ola Tashman share flavours from Jordan and across the Arab world in a warm, home-style setting, with Yazeed Abulfailat hosting. The daily Roya Kitchen returns with a wide selection of Ramadan-friendly recipes, presented by Chef Nidal Al-Buraihi alongside co-host Samir Hijazi.
Also part of the culinary lineup is Yalla Netbokh, a lively cooking show that combines unconventional recipes with comedy, hosted by Chef Yasmine Nasser and featuring content creator Mohammad Nabil for a third season. Competitive cooking series Aqwa Sofra brings families and friends together to compete over whose table stands out, presented by Nasser Al-Sheikh and judged by Chef Dima Hajjawi, Chef Sidqi Naddaf and Lebanese Chef Hammoud, encouraging interactive participation and creative Ramadan dishes.

According to Ipsos data, Roya TV led daily television viewership in Jordan with a 56.6% audience share and more than 2.8m daily viewers, securing its position as the country’s top channel for the ninth consecutive year. “Comedy Hour” posted significant growth, while Roya’s cooking programmes continued to dominate their category, reinforcing the channel’s popularity with Ramadan audiences.
