NEC XON will serve as the training academy for Eutelsat OneWeb's suite of products and services.
Eutelsat OneWeb, the Low Earth Orbit (LEO) internet operator and part of the Eutelsat Group, has joined forces with NEC XON, a prominent African Information and Communications Technology (ICT) integrator, in a multi-year distribution agreement aimed at delivering high-quality LEO connectivity across sub-Saharan Africa. The comprehensive agreement covers installation and training services, addressing the increasing demand for seamless connectivity in diverse sectors such as cellular backhaul, oil and gas, agriculture, government, and mining.
Eutelsat OneWeb’s LEO satellite network, renowned for its high throughput and low latency, is poised to support the rapid growth of the digital economy in the region. The collaboration leverages NEC XON’s expertise in providing cutting-edge ICT services, ensuring that the connectivity solutions cater to the demands of the African continent. A key feature of the agreement is the provision of a bandwidth and Service Level Agreement, guaranteeing customers the expected speed and Quality of Service (QoS).
