The satellites will add capacity for Myriotas services and expand Myriotas markets to Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Argentina and across the Middle East.
Myriota, a provider of secure, low-cost, and long-battery-life satellite IoT connectivity, has expanded its network with four additional low-earth orbit (LEO) nanosatellites. In collaboration with Spire, a global leader in space-based data and analytics, the new satellites were successfully launched on SpaceXs Transporter-12 mission on January 14. This expansion enhances Myriotas global coverage and capacity while opening new markets in Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Argentina and the Middle East.
As part of its growth strategy, Myriota will leverage Spires satellite platform to continue scaling its IoT network over the next year. By integrating Spires established satellite constellation with its own assets, Myriota aims to rapidly and cost-effectively meet the rising global demand for IoT connectivity.
The Myriota Network supports industries such as logistics, utilities and agriculture, enabling businesses to securely monitor and collect data through low-power IoT sensors. Customers already rely on Myriota to track and monitor assets including water tanks, vehicles, wind turbines and shipping containers across remote locations.

In December 2024, Myriota secured a $32m funding round led by the National Reconstruction Fund Corporation (NRFC) and venture capital firm Main Sequence, with support from Inter Valley Ventures. The funding will accelerate IoT digitisation in industries worldwide, with a particular focus on the Middle East.
Myriota recently completed the Saudi Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST) Sandbox programme, working with Saudi Telecom Company (STC) and Giza Systems to deploy a communications network for remote water metering on behalf of the Saudi Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture.
