In a press statement issued by Sky News Arabias management from its headquarters in Abu Dhabi, the network noted that it was in fact restructuring its operations due to pressure from certain political entities in Iraq. As part of the restructuring of its Iraqi operations, Sky News Arabia is currently redistributing several tasks among its crew.

The network has reiterated its commitment to the highest standards of journalism through offering viewers in Iraq and the wider region an in-depth analysis of the situation on ground.
Furthermore, the statement pointed out that Sky News Arabias team of reporters would continue to cover the on-going military operations aimed at regaining Mosul from the ISIS as part of the networks interest to offer honest, unbiased and comprehensive reportage to audiences across the world.
