The fully animated series will feature viewers and their friends as the stars of each episode. The show will premiere on February 1, 2020.
Snapchat parent Snap has announced the launch of Bitmoji TV, a fully animated show starring Snapchat users and their friends. The show is a new form of personalised entertainment that puts users and their friends in a TV show from a specific genre and offers a unique experience for each viewer.
The first season of Bitmoji TV is set to premiere on February 1 and will comprise 10 episodes, averaging three minutes in length. New episodes will air weekly on Saturday mornings on Discover to Snapchat users globally.
Bitmoji TV is a funny, relatable, and wacky experience that satirises television through Bitmoji’s comic-driven sense of humour. The show will feature comedy stars Andy Richter, Jon Lovitz, and Riki Landhome whose voices can be heard in episodes throughout the first season.
The announcement of Bitmoji TV follows the success of Bitmoji Stories, a personalised comic strip starring Snapchat users and their friends’ Bitmojis. Launched in November 2018, Bitmoji Stories releases new episodes three times a week on the Discover page. In its first month, Bitmoji stories were seen by over 40m unique viewers. Since their debut, more than 100m Snapchatters have watched Bitmoji Stories.
Snapchatters can watch Bitmoji TV only on Snapchat’s Discover page, where they can also subscribe to the show and receive notifications for new episodes.
