The Awards honour excellence in the MENA satellite, broadcast, film and streaming markets.
The 14th edition of the ASBU BroadcastPro ME Summit and Awards were held at the Al Habtoor Grand Resort, JBR, on November 6. Some of the most prominent names from the region’s Media and Entertainment sector, gathered at the opulent hotel to network and celebrate the industry’s achievements.
The day began with a series of highly thought-provoking panel discussions. This year, over 28 speakers participated in five panel discussions that shed light on topics such as content localisation strategies, investing in cloud infrastructure, innovations in sports broadcasting and digital transformation in media. Summaries of the panel discussions will be released soon. The summit, attended by 300 media professionals, was a resounding success with attendees promising to come back for the next edition in 2025.
The event culminated with a glittering Awards ceremony attended by nearly 250 people. The ASBU BroadcastPro ME Awards are a testament to the tireless efforts of countless individuals who contribute significantly to the continuous growth of our industry. They serve as a platform that spotlights the industry’s trailblazing innovations and recognises the visionaries amongst us. In addition to recognising and rewarding excellence, the awards’ night is another fantastic opportunity for professionals to network, share ideas, and form new connections.
This year, we gave away 27 awards in various different categories as well as two awards from our sister title SatellitePro Middle East. With 177 nominees, it was a challenging task to pick the winners and the judges were driven to make hard choices. The winners were selected by an esteemed panel of judges from the broadcast as well as production sectors.
