      TOD lights up Burj Khalifa for brand reveal

      TOD's entertainment content includes exclusive access to Arabic and Turkish series, the latest Hollywood movies, and series from Warner Bros, HBO MAX, Miramax, Digiturk, and Sony Pictures Television.

      TOD, a new subscription-based over-the-top (OTT) platform, chose Burj Khalifa for its brand reveal on August 20.

      As the official streaming platform for FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, it made the announcement on the eve of the three-month countdown to the football event.

      “The LED light and sound show by TOD transported the audience to the FIFA excitement just 3-months away with an exhilarating stadium commentary in Arabic. The concept of sports uniting people under the adage “One World One Home” was expanded upon in TOD’s show on the Burj,” said the organisers.

      The platform will soon announce special packages and pay-per-match streaming options for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 matches.

      Additionally, the Burj Khalifa show amplified the platform’s vast library of entertainment content, which includes TOD Originals and children’s programming along with the latest Turkish and Arabic series and movies, Hollywood blockbusters, and Western television shows. One of TOD’s many content options includes beIN’s bouquet of live entertainment channels offering viewers access to content, anytime, anywhere.

      Speaking about the brand reveal, John Paul Mckerlie, VP of Marketing and Sales at TOD, said: “TOD stands for choices – its viewers can choose to view content of their preference on the platform, whether sports or entertainment or both. Our brand audaciously demonstrates how much we believe in the ability of sports and entertainment to unite the community. With the largest collection of sports streaming rights for the region and a constantly expanding library of entertainment content, TOD is undoubtedly going to be the streaming service of choice for the MENA families. With our brand reveal on the Burj Khalifa, we are inviting people to try our streaming platform because we have something for everyone – sports fans, entertainment enthusiasts, and children alike.”

      The platform is built on the latest technologies and comes with the ability to connect up to five devices including streaming of two at any one time on certain packages and supports popular smartphones and big screens. Apart from the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, it exclusively streams live and recorded sports competitions like matches from the ongoing Turkish Lig, UEFA Champions League, English Premier League, LaLiga, Ligue 1, and every Grand Slam tennis tournament, NBA, among others along with access to all 24 beIN SPORTS premium sports channels.

      Built around current customer needs, TOD provides an integrated and personalized experience that enhances live viewing, content navigation and accessibility. TOD is available across MENA including- Qatar, UAE, Kuwait, KSA, Bahrain, Oman, Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, Algeria, Sudan, South Sudan, Tunisia, Morocco, Lebanon, Palestine, Syria, Yemen, Chad, Mauritania, and Libya.
