Sylvia Rothblum, Pierre Branco and Jamie Friend take up Country Manager roles as part of EMEA executive leadership team.
Priya Dogra, President, WarnerMedia EMEA & Asia (excl. China), has announced some key changes to the WarnerMedia leadership team in EMEA, with new Country Manager roles for seasoned company executives Sylvia Rothblum, Pierre Branco, and Jamie Friend.
Sylvia Rothblum has been appointed Country Manager for Germany, Austria & Switzerland, in addition to her current role as Head of TV Distribution for the region. During her 20-year tenure at the company, Rothblum has played a central role in building WarnerMedia’s business in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland and overseeing WarnerMedia’s overall content distribution strategy across multiple platforms in the region.
Meanwhile, Pierre Branco has been appointed Country Manager for France & Benelux. He will retain his responsibilities as Country Manager for MENAT & Africa and Head of Affiliate and Ad Sales for EMEA. During his 15-year career at WarnerMedia, Branco has held a number of senior leadership roles across diverse international markets.
Jamie Friend has been appointed Country Manager for Nordic & Central and Eastern Europe, in addition to his current role as CFO for WarnerMedia EMEA. Since joining the company eight years ago, he has held a number of senior strategy and finance roles.
The appointments follow the announcement of Iris Knobloch’s decision to leave the company.
In their Country Manager roles, the three executives will be responsible for the development and execution of WarnerMedia’s strategy and optimisation of all commercial and group marketing activities across their respective regions. Their remit includes theatrical distribution, local theatrical productions, content licensing, home entertainment and consumer products, as well as ad sales and affiliate distribution for the WarnerMedia channels and streaming services. They will work closely with WarnerMedia Studios & Networks and with the HBO Max organisation across EMEA.
