Exterity, a well-known provider of enterprise IPTV communication solutions, will demonstrate its range of IPTV systems for the first time at CABSAT. Visitors to the Exterity booth will see solutions designed to help organisations in the Middle East maximise the value of live TV and video content by delivering it over an existing IP network to TVs, PCs, and AV display equipment.
The on stand demonstration will show a core IPTV system built from AvediaStream, AvediaPlayer and AvediaServer. This core system is integrated with additional industry specific functionalities that are particularly important for the Middle East, such as digital signage, room control and mobile distribution, as follows:
- Integration of the core Exterity IPTV system with a Wowza server to stream video to wireless devices. As well as providing support for Flash, HLS (Apple) and Silverlight (Microsoft) streaming, the demonstration shows how Exterity and Wowza support optional transcoding and transrating capabilities, reducing bandwidth and resolutions to fit the requirements of specific streaming applications, as well making previously hard to implement features such as adaptive bitrate (ABR) streaming simple
- Exterity APIs allow third party room control systems to manage IPTV displays allowing all equipment to be controlled using one set of tools. CABSAT sees Exterity demonstrate integration with Crestron, a leading provider of room control and automation systems.
