Grass Valley invites attendees to visit the stand to experience its latest innovations firsthand and discuss how these solutions can elevate their live productions.
Grass Valley is gearing up to introduce its latest camera solutions, the LDX 135 RF and LDX 150 RF, at the upcoming NAB Show 2024. These cutting-edge cameras offer integrated wireless transmission capabilities via RF or 5G bonded cellular technology, providing broadcasters with enhanced flexibility and operational efficiency.
Developed in collaboration with top RF system vendors, the LDX 135 RF and LDX 150 RF boast a reliable, EMI-approved mechanical interface that seamlessly accommodates third-party transmission modules without the need for external cables or extensive mechanical adjustments. Despite their compact design, these RF editions maintain the better picture quality and functionality that have made the LDX 135 and LDX 150 leading choices for live Media & Entertainment events.
Paul de Bresser, Product Manager at Grass Valley, said: “We developed the LDX 135 RF and LDX 150 RF in response to growing customer demand for wireless versions of our LDX 100 series cameras, which makes it easier to operate in all camera positions, including those that would be difficult or impossible to connect with cable runs. These Native UHD cameras add wireless transmission flexibility without compromising the exceptional picture quality and functionality that has made the LDX 135 and LDX 150 both leading camera choices for live Media & Entertainment events.”
As the inaugural LDX 100 Series camera models to feature wireless transmission capability, the LDX 135 RF and LDX 150 RF boast an array of advanced features, including seamless integration with third-party RF systems and 5G transceivers, simplified mechanical interface optimised for RF technology, support for UHD video with HDR, and high sensitivity for superior image capture.
“With its NativeIP operating mode and the IP-based signal transmission to the XCU, the LDX 100 Series already offered by far the most powerful and comprehensive signal transmission solutions on the market,” added de Bresser. “Now customers can attach any transmission solution they desire, including 5G transceivers, allowing transmission of camera signals directly to remote and/or cloud-based production centres, with return video, tally and control.”
Customers will also have the option to retrofit the LDX 135 RF and LDX 150 RF with a “Build-Back Kit,” converting them back to standard LDX 135/150 configurations in just minutes.
