TSL to showcase expansive technology solutions for multimedia and entertainment professionals

TSL Products will present a host of new solutions from its expanding product portfolio at Broadcast Asia 2013 (Stand 5E4-03).

 

“Each year Broadcast Asia is seen as a launching point for regional initiatives,” says Chris Exelby, Managing Director of TSL. “We are excited to show the Asian market all our product developments of the last year, which address issues associated with loudness, live sports/event broadcasting, equipment communication/control and power consumption/costs. The show will also give us the opportunity to gain additional insight into the region’s current needs and challenges.”

PAM PiCo Five Audio and Loudness Meter:

The compact PAM PiCo Five, complete with revolutionary StarFish surround sound display, allows for real time logging of all relevant loudness parameters, including high and low loudness levels, peak-level and corresponding peak channel, as well as integrated loudness. The new logging software application provides instant documentation, visualization and evaluation of any source passing through the meter unit. Session data may be exported as a PDF or CSV files, to streamline the creation of loudness data documents for presentations on compliance.

The PAM PiCo Five is the latest member of the PAM PiCo family, all of which are simple-to-use and easy to configure and no bigger than a smartphone,  placing high-quality metering within reach of anyone working in sound production.

SAM1-3GM Audio Monitoring Unit:

The SAM1-3GM is a flexible, intuitive audio monitoring system that offers seamless operation in settings ranging from multilanguage and surround sound/stereo production to live sports and event broadcasting. The SAM1-3GM provides instant visual feedback from 16 channel sources of embedded SDI. Additionally, two auxiliary analog or AES input channels can be mixed into the monitoring chain, which allows users to listen to external sources such as intercom.

Monitor Plus Family Audio Monitoring Units:

The Monitor Plus Family offers robust entry-level audio monitoring, with the same performance elements found in TSL’s high-end confidence monitoring line. On display at Broadcast Asia 2013, will be the MPA1-3G, which provides comprehensive de-embedding capabilities and accepts any SD- or HD-SDI signal up to and including 3G. TSL will also exhibit the MPA1-ASB+ and –ASC+ units, which are available in dual- or eight-stereo-input versions and are built around a brand-new hardware platform.

SoundField X-1 Upmix/Downmix processor:

The SoundField X-1 upmix/downmix audio processor is an innovative and cost-effective solution for stereo to 5.1 upmixing. Employing the same algorithm as SoundField’s UPM-1 upmix processor to achieve 5.1 to stereo upmix/downmix, the X-1 is just 1U-high, offering simultaneous upmix/downmix processes, increased downmix quality control and a full range of AES digital inputs/outputs on BNC.
