Euronews will be the first and only international news channel available on the streaming platform.
Under the deal, Euronews’ French, German, English-language channels and AVOD content will be available on WhaleLive.
The online broadcasting licences cost $988.03 for radio and $9880.33 for television.
The partnership is also set to establish a regional office and a media academy.
During the course of the contract, Globecast will also add Viaccess PC6.0 encryption to the signal, at a time of Euronews’ choosing, with cards also supplied.
The news channel’s global monthly brand reach, both on TV and digital, peaked at a record 149.6m in Q1 of 2020.
Sârb, who is the former Chief Content Officer of Euronews, will streamline the services and add new solutions to bring out better results for the UAE-based company and clients.
