Nazih, along with conductor Ahmed Farag, will present music from some of Egypt's most iconic films on October 27.
Emmy-nominated composer Hesham Nazih will perform live for the first time at the 7th edition of El Gouna Film Festival (October 24 to November 1, 2024). Nazih’s performance will take place on October 27 at the El Gouna Conference and Culture Centre aka The Festival Plaza.
Accompanied by an orchestra conducted by Ahmed Farag, Nazih will revisit the music from several of his most acclaimed films, including Snakes & Ladders (the film is being screened as a special presentation at GFF#2024), Ibrahim Labyad, The Blue Elephant, and Diamond Dust.
This musical is powered by Cairo Design District (CDD), the festival’s Official Art & Design Partner, and will blend music, audio-visual arts, and live performances under the theme ‘Cinema in Concert’. The event is being held in collaboration with ievents and MAD Solutions. Tickets are available on TicketEgypt, the festival’s official Ticketing Partner.

Hesham Nazih has composed scores for more than 40 films and TV series, including Marvel’s Moon Knight, for which he was nominated for Best Original Score for a Limited Series at the 74th Emmy Awards. He was also nominated for the World Soundtrack Award and invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, which grants the famous Oscars. He was the first musician to receive the Faten Hamama Award for Excellence from the Cairo International Film Festival (2018) in recognition of his distinguished career.
