This remastered release offers fans an opportunity to experience the critically acclaimed thriller in detail, as it was meant to be seen on the big screen.
David Fincher’s iconic 1995 thriller Se7en is set to make a cinematic comeback in a newly remastered IMAX edition. Featuring enhanced visuals and audio, the re-release will be available for a limited run at Vox Cinemas across the UAE and KSA starting January 30.
The restoration, completed in 4K at Warner Bros. Discovery’s Motion Picture Imaging (MPI), was sourced from the original camera negative and personally overseen by Fincher to ensure authenticity and quality.
Written by Andrew Kevin Walker (The Killer), Se7en features an all-star cast including Brad Pitt, Morgan Freeman, Gwyneth Paltrow and Kevin Spacey. The narrative follows two detectives (Pitt and Freeman) as they track a calculating and sadistic killer who uses the seven deadly sins as inspiration for his crimes.
Set in a grim and rain-soaked city, Fincher’s direction immerses viewers in a tale of physical, psychological and emotional tension, leading to a haunting finale.
