Dubai One Television, part of Dubai Media Inc. (DMI) has announced its re-launch will be on-air from 30 September 2012, with a new on-air and online look. The re-launch includes locally produced programmes, new drama seasons, reality shows and exclusive movies.
In a re-launch ceremony held at the Emirates Towers Hotel in Dubai, Sara Jarman, director of Dubai One channel introduced the new slogan, See More, which she said: Reflects the prominence of Dubai One’s position as a media platform for entertainment and information, and a leading provider of high quality programmess locally produced in DMI studios.
Jarman added that See More also relates to Dubai One providing a bouquet of exclusive movies and TV series carefully selected and tailored to the needs and interests of its viewership.
At the forefront, Dubai One will exclusively broadcast season six of televised singing contest The Voice. Reality business show The Entrepreneur is another new highlight, produced in cooperation with ITC (du), in support of small and medium enterprises. For the latest stories from the world of fashion will be the first season of Fashion Star, dramas such as Gossip Girl, Revenge and Supernatural will be shown, and comedy series include The Big Bang Theory.
For the first time in the Middle East, Dubai One viewers will follow the first season of Spanish drama, Bella, dubbed in English.
Locally produced shows will continue, such as Thats Entertainment, season three of Studio One, season six of Out & About This Week, and Emirates News will be transmitted from the DMI News Centre, featuring daily news and reports from Dubai and around the world. Understanding Islam will also air its third season, continuing to highlight the Islamic teachings.
Dubai One will also continue to show three movies every night, including exclusive and box office films.
