Prominent Emirati media entities attended the third edition of the Global Media Congress 2024 (GMC), held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) under the theme, Vision, Empowerment, Interaction. Underscoring the nation’s growing influence in shaping the future of media, they highlighted their innovative strategies in digital transformation and content creation.
Mohammed Ghanim, Director-General of Ras Al Khaimah Radio Authority, described the Congress as an opportunity to explore new frontiers in digital media, enabling direct engagement with experts and opening doors to strategic collaboration. The emirate’s participation this year is under the umbrella of the Ras Al Khaimah Government Media Office.
Abdullah Murad Al Mazmi, Director of the Advertising and Promotion Department at Sharjah Media City (Shams), outlined the initiatives presented during the Congress. These included the AI-powered platform for innovative visual content creation, another for film and series production, and an interactive podcast, which connects government leaders with youth.
Abu Dhabi Media Network showcased cutting-edge technological innovations such as a virtual studio, AI-based smart journalist tools, and multilingual smart speaker solutions. Dubai Media City focused on fostering collaboration across the media sector to achieve sustainable growth, highlighting the 2024 Digital Creative Economy 2024 white paper.
Al Ain Media highlighted the “Dawahi Al Ain” Initiative, the first digital community platform aimed at promoting the culture of Al Ain City. Ajman also played a key role in presenting a unified media strategy to strengthen communication between its government, local entities, and the wider community.
