Harris Broadcast, which was nearing the deadline to renounce its existing name following its acquisition by The Gores Group in 2013, was renamed Imagine Communications and GatesAir at Madison Square Garden in New York City on March 17, 2014. Charlie Vogt will be CEO of both the companies.
GatesAir will be headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio, and be responsible for Harris Broadcasts radio and TV transmission products while Imagine Communications, which will be based in Dallas, will be responsible for the rest of the companys broadcast solutions.
