This October, the Leaders in Sports Awards will be held at the Natural History Museum in London to honour the class of 2023.
Faisal Al-Raisi, the Director of Digital for the MENA region at BeIN Media Group, has been named to the list of ‘Leaders Under 40 Class of 2023’ by the Leaders Sports Awards. This accolade celebrates outstanding professionals on a global scale, individuals who have exhibited exceptional expertise and foresight within their respective domains, leaving a significant imprint on their industries.
Al-Raisi’s association with BeIN dates back to 2013, and his leadership has been pivotal in the substantial expansion of BeIN’s digital portfolio. He leads a team of 33 digital specialists and is accountable for shaping the extensive digital broadcasting and publishing strategy for BeIN productions, encompassing a total of 32 sports and 11 entertainment channels.
A driving force behind BeIN’s digital transformation, Al-Raisi has spearheaded initiatives such as the introduction of online services and sales channels. Notably, BeIN Sports has risen to become one of the most prominent brands in the MENA region, boasting 70m followers across its social media platforms.

Throughout the 28-day duration of this premier football event, BeIN’s social media channels achieved remarkable figures, recording 5.5bn impressions, 1.1bn video views, 400m engagements, and 33m hours of viewership. Al-Raisi also supervised the launch of the region’s inaugural 4K OTT channel, guaranteeing the highest quality streaming of all 64 matches.
The ‘Leaders Under 40 Class of 2023’ cohort will be honoured during the upcoming Leaders in Sports Awards ceremony, scheduled to take place at the Natural History Museum in London this October.
