The content partnership with MBC Group marks iwonder’s first entry into the MENA market.
MBC Group has announced a new licensing partnership with iwonder, Asia-Pacific’s subscription video on demand (SVOD) platform dedicated to documentaries and current affairs.
The new licensing deal brings over 100 hours of top factual films and TV shows to subscribers of MBC Group’s video streaming platform, Shahid and its premium offering, Shahid VIP.
The SVOD platform’s 50+ factual categories offer educational and informative documentaries covering everything from climate change and crime, through to history and world affairs. The partnership marks iwonder’s first entry into the MENA market.
Titles initially available on Shahid will include My Enemy, My Brother, the true story of two survivors on opposite sides of the Iran-Iraq war and their journey from rival fighters to friends; Chasing the Jet Stream, the story of one man’s grand ambition to become the first man to jump into a hurricane-force jet stream at over 8,000 metres; and Inside the Crypto-Kingdom, exploring the world of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology, and why we should all care about how it develops.
