Tim Claman has been appointed the CTO (Chief Technology Officer) of Quantel Inc. Tim brings to Quantel a wealth of experience gained as both a supplier and user of broadcast and post production technology. Most recently, as CTO of Avid, Tim helped shape the companys technology and product strategies over a period of 14 years. Prior to that Tim worked with a number of leading US post production facilities, helping them move into the digital age and working on many high-profile film and TV productions.
Before working in Film and Television, Tim was a professional recording engineer and musician in Los Angeles. Im delighted to be joining Quantel at a very exciting time in its development, said Tim Claman. Quantels ideas and innovations can truly transform our industry and Im really looking forward to playing a part in making that happen; its a natural fit for me!
