Sennheiser, in conjunction with UAE-based regional reseller partner United Broadcast & Media Solutions (UBMS), hosted a workshop in Dubai on November 12, 2015. Titled Broadcast Sound Perfected, the event aimed at informing and educating customers from the broadcast industry on the latest solutions from Sennheisers ENG, studio and outside broadcasting (OB) product ranges.
Ryan Burr, Technical Sales Manager at Sennheiser Middle East stated that this broadcast- specific event followed the success of the Business Communications Day which Sennheiser hosted in September.
By focusing on a particular market vertical, we are able to address specific customer requirements which make these events very beneficial for attendees. In addition to product demonstrations, we deliver presentations that inform them about the latest trends in the industry, he said.
Burr was joined by John McGregor, Business Development Manager and Salam Askar, Area Sales Manager UAE and KSA of Sennheisers regional team as well as members of UBMS. The event featured presentations and hands-on demonstrations of a number of Sennheiser broadcast solution among which were the AVX wireless microphone system, the flagship Digital 9000 system and the Esfera 5.1 microphone system.
We wanted to highlight solutions which touched upon every aspect of the broadcast process, thus giving attendees a comprehensive overview of the value we are capable of delivering at every stage, said Burr.
Commenting on the benefits of attending the event, Leo Tucker-Brown, Engineering Supervisor at CNN said: Such workshops provide us with a lot more information than is available on a webpage or brochure. It was also a good opportunity to get together with like-minded industry professionals to see and hear the latest. This gave us a chance to discuss ideas and examine the future of sound recording and audio engineering.
Peter Kyriakos, Head of Marketing at UBMS, added: UBMS has always been committed to educating the industry on how to use the latest technologies in an efficient and effective manner and this Sennheiser workshop is testament to that fact. We pride ourselves in the notion that we are not just selling the latest equipment and solutions, but we are also providing our valued clients with an avenue in which they can increase their skill set and confidence. We believe that when our customers succeed we succeed. UBMS conducts many free of charge workshops such as this one and quite frankly speaking the overwhelming positive responses we receive from professionals in our industry further encourages us to keep our training academy running at full steam which ultimately allows UBMS to not only provide excellent products at competitive prices, but also after sales services and training which add value to our customers.
