Italian vocalist, Tino Favazza and Lebanese singer, Yara, fuse both cultures and diverse musical genres through their voices.
After two episodes of Coke Studio on MBC 1 that left viewers amazed by what music fusion can offer, the third episode will present another fusion, and blend of the finest in Italian Opera with Oriental rhythms.
Italian vocalist, Tino Favazza and Lebanese singer, Yara, fuse both cultures and diverse musical genres through their voices. Viewers will discover the challenges and surprises the artists faced while trying to fuse Opera with an Arabian voice, and expressing it through an Arabian classic, like Salma Ya Salama.
The third episode of Coke Studio will also provide a look into the life of Yara, as she explains her love and attraction to music which started at a very young age. Yara also states that one of her role models, Wadih Al Safi, continues to be an inspiration who she greatly respects and regards as a one-of-a-kind artist and musician.
The episode then shifts light on Tino Favazza, an Italian opera vocalist whose voice varies from classical Opera to Napolitan and Sicilian arias. As a child though, the guitar was always his go-to instrument. Outside of his musical passion, he gives viewers a sneak peak on his cooking skills as Tino whips his favorite recipe that his mother taught him.
Finally, a pioneer of World Music Fusion, Michel Elefteriades, producer of Coke Studio, is faced with the challenge of fusing Yaras smooth voice with Opera.
