Apple is extending all existing free trials for its video-streaming service Apple TV+ to February 2021, according to Techcrunch.
The company had bundled a one-year free subscription to Apple TV+ which debuted in November last year with the purchase of an Apple product. The free subscriptions were set to expire on November 1.
A $4.99 monthly credit for the coming three months will be given to subscribers who took out a subscription before November 2020.
Users who pay for the service on a monthly basis will receive credits through February as well, Apple said.
Apple has not revealed the number of Apple TV+ subscribers. The service has fewer TV shows and movies than rivals such as Disney+, which surpassed 60m subscribers in August 2020 after launching last November.
