The series, which will feature four episodes, will broadcast exclusively on Sharjah TV from September 27.
FUNN, a Sharjah-based organisation dedicated to promoting media arts learning in children and youth in the UAE, has produced an educational animated series titled My Dear Children, to instil moral values in children in an entertaining and engaging way.
Each of the four episodes, which will be broadcast on Sharjah TV from September 27, focusses on topics like the importance of education, reading, praying, and honouring parents. The episodes will conclude with a message from HH Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
Sheikha Jawaher bint Abdullah Al Qasimi, Director of FUNN and the Sharjah International Film Festival for Children & Youth (SIFF), noted that the series, which will be televised on Sharjah TV for four days consecutively, will instil positive behaviour among kids.
She added that the animation series was produced by FUNN in collaboration with the young members of FUNN, and Aysha Al Hemrani who oversaw the illustrations and animation work on the following characters: HH Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, and the two children, Reem and Sultan.
The new animation series is a part of FUNN’s efforts to raise a creative young generation capable of creating quality content in film and arts that can compete at regionally and internationally.
Salem Al Ghaithi, Director of Sharjah TV which is affiliated to the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, said the partnership with FUNN to broadcast the new series was part of the authority’s goals to enrich children with the knowledge and good values through television content and empower them to become future leaders capable of attaining the country’s goals and aspirations.
