?Nilesat and the Regional African Satellite Communication Organisation (RASCOM) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and a Marketing Service Contract, launching a collaborative partnership aimed at advancing space science and satellite technology in Africa and the Middle East. The agreement signals a new chapter of cooperation focused on mutual growth, innovation and the development of satellite services across the region.
The MoU outlines plans for both organisations to join forces in key areas, including satellite capacity sales, technical training, innovation and research. Under the terms of the agreement, ?Nilesat and RASCOM will work together to share expertise, infrastructure, platforms and applications, with the goal of expanding access to space-based technologies and enhancing connectivity in underserved regions.
The agreement was signed by Hesham Sallam, Chief Commercial Officer of ?Nilesat, and Timothy Ashong, Director General of RASCOM. Both leaders emphasised the importance of the partnership in driving regional progress through technological collaboration.
