Zee5 Global will stream 12 winning titles for free among the shortlisted entries.
South Asian streaming platform Zee5 Global has announced the Global Content Festival 2022 for independent filmmakers to showcase their work to an audience across 190+ countries.
This year, the platform received entries from India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, the UK, the USA, Australia, Singapore, Dubai, and the Netherlands, in a motley of languages including Hindi, English, Marathi, Bangla, Tamil and Malayalam.
With the help of an expert panel of judges at Zee5 Global, 50 submissions have been shortlisted across multiple continents. The best of these will be declared winners at the end of the Global Content Festival 2022, and their work will be featured on the platform for viewers to watch.
Aiming at eliminating linguistic, cultural, and geographical boundaries, the Global Content Festival is a first-of-its-kind digital festival initiative by Zee5 Global that gives budding and independent filmmakers a global platform to showcase their work.
In 2021, Shilpa K Shukla emerged as the Global Content Festival winner with her film Kathaah@8.
