AFS will also host an information session about the competition and a screening of Hind Anabtawi's 'Moderately Satisfied' on April 21.
Image Nation Abu Dhabi has launched an Arab Film Studio Scriptwriting competition that is open to all UAE nationals and residents over the age of 21.
On April 21, AFS will also organise an information session about the competition and a screening of Moderately Satisfied, directed by Hind Anabtawi. The screening will be followed by a Q&A session, which will be led by Zaid Abu Hamdan, founder of Zaha Productions, director, producer, and writer of several international award-winning short and feature films. He will shed light on the AFS Scriptwriting programme, and the five-month journey it will take for the participants to learn the skills they need to tell stories through film.
Image Nation Abu Dhabi’s annual training programme will commence on July 13, 2022.
The winning script will be produced into a short film with a budget of up to AED 100,000 ($27225.96).
Aspiring participants can submit their work in Arabic or English by May 15, 2022. All shortlisted candidates will need to be available for an online interview in June 2022.
