The Egyptian series will premiere during the month of Ramadan 2020.
Cedars Art Production (Sabbah Brothers) has announced a collaboration with Disney for an Arabic adaptation of the American TV series by ABC Studios called The Golden Girls. The original US series aired a total of seven seasons and 177 episodes.
The show’s season one will have 30 guests stars throughout the 30 episodes. The Arabic version of the classic show will be directed by the renowned Egyptian director Wael Ehsan with the screenplay by Amin Gamal.
The Arabic adaptation, called Nissa’ Menn Thahab, will offer Arabic viewers the first historic encounter ever done on screen, featuring the Egyptian movie icons Nadia Al-Gendy (A Woman Shook the Throne of Egypt) and Nabila Obaid (Al Rakissa Wal Siyassi) alongside the legendary theatrical actress Samiha Ayoub and screen star Hala Fakher (Between 2 Palaces).
