EshailSat has announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding with Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA) for joint development of satellite services. EshailSat represented by its President and CEO Mr. Ali Ahmed Al Kuwari and QCAA represented by its Chairman Mr. Abdulla Nasser Al Subaey signed the major cooperation agreement that will see EshailSat providing satellite services to the Meteorological Department under QCAA.
EshailSat and the Meteorological Department will share services and experience in line with the shared interest towards achieving Qatars National Vision 2030 and the ongoing projects for Qatars 2022 World Cup.
EshailSats President and CEO, Ali Ahmed Al Kuwari said: We are delighted to be working with QCAA to jointly develop earth observation capabilities within Qatar and across the region. As a new satellite operator in the region we are always looking to build scale and increase the portfolio of services to support our stakeholders, partners and customers. This agreement with QCAA also enhances our efforts in supporting Qatar National Vision 2030.
EshailSat and QCAA also agreed to cooperate in joint investments in earth observation satellites and the dissemination of vital data and information to stakeholders and other relevant local and international organizations. The agreement enables both parties to provide satellite communications in disaster warning and disaster management during emergencies.
