Melody House, a distributor for Primacoustic has supplied RX9 downfire stabilizers to the School of Audio Engineering (SAE) in Dubai.
Primacoustic offers acoustic solutions that cater to various market segments including boardrooms, call centres and studios.
The Recoil Stabilizer is a loudspeaker platform that combines high-density urethane foam base to isolate the speaker from the shelf, monitor-bridge or stand, a heavy laser-cut steel plate and a thin neoprene top surface.
It eliminates disruptive resonant coupling from the loudspeaker to the stand, while providing a base that reduces the recoil caused by the forward energy of the loudspeaker motion. It is suited for nearfield monitors.
“We initially tried the flat version but as their (SAEs) stands are quite high the downfire versions provided great results,” mentioned Simon Short, acoustics specialist at Melody House.
