Kuwait-based telecoms company Wataniya Telecom has announced that it will launch its own satellite channel on July 15, 2011.
The channel is aimed at Muslim viewers and will run only during this period annually, Scott Gegenheimer, General Manager and Chief Executive Officer of Wataniya stated at a press conference in Kuwait on Sunday.
Content will include religious programmes, competitions and several drama series.
Gegenheimer added that the channel will broadcast eight hours a day without any advertisements and will be available on Nilesat.
