The film made history in the Oscars for becoming the first foreign film to win Best Picture, among other awards such as Best Director, Best Foreign Language Film, and Best Original Screenplay.
South Korean black comedy thriller film Parasite, which won the Oscar for the best film earlier this month, is now available to stream on pay-TV network OSN.
To gain access to the film, users can click on its hero image or access point/“New Movies” folder in the OSN Store.
Directed by Bong Joon-ho, the film tells the story of a poor family, the Kims, who con their way into becoming the servants of a rich family, the Parks. But their easy life gets complicated when their deception is threatened with exposure.
Parasite also won the Palme d’Or at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival, becoming the first Korean film to receive the award as well as the first film to do so with a unanimous vote since 2013’s Blue Is the Warmest Colour.
The film was selected as the South Korean entry for Best International Feature Film at the 92nd Academy Awards where it picked up Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, Best International Feature Film, Best Production Design and Best Film. At the 77th Golden Globe awards, the film had three nominations, winning Best Foreign Language Film.
