This nine-part series tells the story of the Roman invasion of Britain as three tribes the Druids, the Celts and the Romans who are all battling for control of the country. Set in 43 A.D, the series boasts a solid star-studded cast including British actor Mackenzie Crook, True Detectives Kelly Reilly, The Walking Deads David Morrissey and Zoe Wanamaker of Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone fame, will be on Starz Play soon.
Expect swords, slaughter and sorcery as arch-rivals and Britons Kerra (Reilly) and Antedia (Wanamaker) set aside their differences to combat their new common enemy the armies representing the awesome might of the Roman Empire, led by the towering figure of General Aulus Plautius (David Morrissey).
