Students in the Middle East will be able to compete against other students internationally. The submissions are being accepted currently and we are looking forward to receiving student entries. So far, we have received submissions from Europe, India, Thailand, Germany and Australia among others.
In its maiden year, FILM-ED aims to contribute to the development of filmmakers by offering a platform to share their stories with a wide audience on an international stage and offer industry feedback. The winners will be awarded certificates for both, the quarterly and annual editions.
Trophies will be awarded only to the winners of the annual edition, which will culminate in January 2020.
Award winners from each of our editions will compete for our annual accolades, with all nominated films screened and awards announced during our annual screening event at Cinema Akil in Dubai, UAE in January 2020, he concluded.
