Bayanat, an AI-powered geospatial solutions provider, and Yahsat, the UAEs flagship satellite solutions provider, have approved the proposed merger of the two Abu Dhabi-based entities. This move will create SPACE42, a powerhouse in AI-powered space technology with a MENA base and global reach.
Initially proposed by their respective Boards of Directors on December 18, 2023, the merger is anticipated to be finalised by mid-2024. SPACE42 will amalgamate Bayanats cutting-edge Geospatial Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities with Yahsats advanced Satellite communications expertise to forge innovative space-based services, catalysing positive impacts on societies and economies. The new entity will broaden its service portfolio and capitalise on vertical integration opportunities, thereby offering a value proposition, leveraging economies of scale, and enhancing profitability throughout the value chain.
