Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, has issued Emiri Decree No. 9 of 2023, marking the establishment of the Ajman Government Media Office, according to a report by WAM.
The establishment of this office is a strategic move aimed at elevating the emirate’s standing on the global stage and enhancing its distinct media identity. At its core, the office seeks to reinforce transparency by delivering precise and dependable information about government projects and initiatives.
In addition to these objectives, the Ajman Government Media Office is dedicated to spotlighting and promoting the emirate’s achievements in its pursuit of strategic developmental goals. It will adopt a forward-looking, sustainable media policy that seamlessly adapts to the rapidly changing landscape of various media platforms.
This newly formed entity will undertake a wide array of responsibilities, serving as a catalyst for an integrated government media system. Its mandate encompasses the formulation and execution of government media policies and strategies, the implementation of pertinent projects and initiatives, representation of the emirate at both local and international media events, dissemination of news, events, and government-related information, and a pivotal role in knowledge dissemination and raising public awareness about government efforts and strategic projects.
The decree further underscores that the Media Office assumes responsibility for overseeing the media coverage of both Sheikh Humaid and Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, at both the emirate and government levels. This authority extends to the regulation and supervision of media materials related to projects and initiatives of local government entities across various sectors.
The office’s mission is to harmonise media messages and communications issued by government entities, aligning them with the emirate’s vision and aspirations, and thereby fortifying its local and international stature.
