Spains cooking channel Canal Cocina has hired celebrity Chef Marta Yanci, owner and founder of Marta’s Kitchen the boutique catering company of Dubai, to record a dedicated cooking show of 22 episodes. The series will premiere in October and will be aired to Canal Cocina’s 9.6 million potential viewers.
“I am delighted to start this great collaboration with Spain’s leading food and cooking channel,” said Chef Marta Yanci. “I have to thank everyone at Dubai One TV for the lessons I have learned with Studio One TV,” said Marta Yanci. “I would not be here without the opportunity that Dubai One TV gave me by joining the Studio One team.”
The 22-episode special series will showcase some of Chef Marta’s signature dishes, who will also take the opportunity to introduce local Emirati dishes to the viewers of Canal Cocina.
“We are delighted to welcome Marta Yanci as part of the Canal Cocina professional team,” said Mandi Cinza, Director of Canal Cocina.
“She is a great professional that, thanks to her vast knowledge about the Emirati food landscape, represents the essence of our channel: “food unites us. Gastronomy knows no frontiers, joins cultures and evolves without losing its roots.
“The concept of the series is to bring the spirit of Marta’s Kitchen to this series: entertaining recipes that mix Spanish traditional cooking with the multinational global gastronomy I have learned in Dubai; all at an affordable price and with innovative presentation” said Chef Marta Yanci. “Of course, I will be honored to introduce Emirati food to the Spanish public but I can’t tell you the dishes because that would ruin the fun!”
Chef Marta joins an exclusive group of celebrity chefs that have recorded special series with Canal Cocina. Also, some of the most prestigious international chefs, such as Gordon Ramsay, Lorraine Pascal, Nigella Lawson of Heston Blumenthal have showcased their recipes across Canal Cocina’s shows, all in a unique style that captures viewers from across the world.
“It is an honour to join this exclusive community of reputed chefs with dedicated programmes on Canal Cocina. I look forward to this great opportunity and to see the feedback from the viewers.”
Chef Marta Yanci, who returned to Dubai this week after recording the series, is scheduled to join Dubai One TV Studio One magazine show next Sunday to showcase more recipes to Dubai’s foodies.
Canal Cocina is owned by world-renowned Chello Multicanal. It manages a multiplatform brand such as Canal Cocina that is also an enormous internet and social media hit. The channel created the first video recipe application in the world and distributes exclusive content through social media networks.
Canal Cocina produces 80% of its content and is distributed by all the Iberian Pay TV operators, with a total distribution footprint of 9.6 million viewers.
Marta’s Kitchen website ( www.martaskitchen.com ) will showcase some of the highlights of the series.
