Rana Kazkaz and Anas Khalaf, two Middle Eastern filmmakers have been taken to attend the Melbourne International Film Festival (MIFF) 37º South Market by Abu Dhabi Film Commission (ADFC).
The duo were runners up in ADFCs 2010 Shasha Grant Competition for their script Damascenes.
The programme is part of ADFC’s partnership with MIFF 37º South Market that gives Shasha Grant runners-up the opportunity to travel to Melbourne and attend the opening weekend of the Melbourne International Film Festival.
ADFC will endorse Abu Dhabi as a filming location as well as help the two filmmakers promote their work at the festival.
Speaking about ADFC’s participation at the film festival, its director David Shepheard stated: Were pleased to continue our partnership with MIFF 37º South Market to offer talented filmmakers from the Middle East a chance to access the market and gain greater exposure for their work.
MIFF 37º South Market concludes on 24 July.
