EVS Chairman Pierre De Muelenaere will succeed De Lathouwer in an interim basis until a new CEO is appointed.
Commenting on the changes, De Muelenaere said: On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Muriel for the work that has been accomplished over the last four years with the Executive Committee and the Board. A new vision and strategy have been defined, positioning EVS at the core of the live ecosystem, with an extension of the product range and a focus on innovation. A more agile organisational structure was put in place, allowing a better cost control. The challenges faced by all players in our industry are pushing us to constantly evolve. The Board of Directors will encourage the continuation of this strategy, while strengthening the leadership role of the management team within the organisation.
De Lathouwer became a member of the EVS Board of Directors in November 2013, and chaired its Strategic Committee. She was named ECS CEO in February 2015, after serving as interim president of the Executive Committee of EVS on an interim basis after the October 2014 departure of previous CEO, Joop Janssen.
As per financial analysts, for the full year of 2017, EVS reported revenues of $508m, down 9.2% compared to the previous year.
