In line with the long term partnership between My-HD and MBC Group, another high definition channel was made available to satellite households on My-HD, as one of the leading and fastest-growing satellite Pay-TV platforms in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
The Western General Entertainment and movie channel- MBC Variety- comes with no commercial breaks offering My-HD subscribers uninterrupted premium entertainment. The English audio (with Arabic subtitles) is available on all dubbed shows to encourage people to watch the shows in their original language. With premium films and series, the HD channel will only be available to DTH/Satellite households on My-HD on Arabsat 26 degrees East, the Arab worlds leading satellite services provider. Cliff Nelson, CEO, My-HD said: We are delighted to expand our range of HD channels with the addition of the completely new MBC Variety channel to our ever growing line-up taking the total of HD channels to 42, more than any other DTH/satellite TV platform in the region. Our strategic and ongoing partnership with MBC further underscores My-HDs dedication of delivering the best possible viewing experience in the MENA region at an unbeatable value. The addition of this new premium HD channel will further boost our audience reach and loyalty.
Sam Barnett, MBC Group CEO, said: Our successful partnership with My-HD continues to be extremely fruitful as we enhance our existing offering of premium HD channels to our customers. MBC Variety is a milestone as it is our ninth HD channel.
Through its strategic partnership with Arabsat, My-HD has been able to continuously expand its offering of channels and reach out to over 170 million viewers in more than 22 countries across the Middle East and North Africa.
