M-Appeal and MAD Solutions have inked a deal that gives MAD exclusive rights to The Third Wife in 23 Arabic-speaking counrties.
MAD Solutions has acquired the exclusive rights to distribute The Third Wife from German company, M-Appeal in 23 Arab countries, according to a report in Screen Daily. The deal covers Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, Iraq, Yemen, Mauritania, South Sudan, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, Djibouti, Comoro Islands, Palestine, Libya, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Somalia and Sudan.
The Third Wife is a Vietnamese period drama about a teenage girl who is to be the third wife of a wealthy landowner.
The film has already screened at multiple festivals, including Toronto, Busan and Taipei, and won several awards, including the NETPAC Award at TIFF 2019, Gold Hugo (New Directors Competition) at Chicago IFF 2018 and best artistic contribution at Cairo IFF 2018.
