The free-to-attend online camp will teach children from 12- to 15-year age groups how to make a stop motion film based on the UAE’s space milestone.
FUNN, Sharjah Media Arts for Youth and Children, has announced a five-day virtual summer camp titled ‘Let’s go to space’ for media arts enthusiasts from 12 to 15. The camp will take place from August 9 to 13, from 10-11 am, via Zoom video conferencing. The session is being organised as part of the annual FUNN-tastic Summer Camp.
Emirati digital artist Aysha Saif Al Hemrani will guide participants step-by-step at this free-to-attend workshop to create space set-up props and shoot a stop motion film on their smart devices with the help of an app.
On day one, participants will learn how to create a space backdrop using their laptops or smart devices. On days two and three, they will create the Hazza rocket and some props symbolising the UAE Hope Mission, as well as a dummy astronaut.
The fourth session will teach them how to use a stop motion smart application and will include a 30-second challenge. Day five will be spent reviewing the participants’ efforts.
